East of Alanya lies Dim River, known locally as Dimçay and one of the best-loved natural spots near the town. It is an ideal place to get away from the heat and spend a calm day in green surroundings.

Fed from the Taurus Mountains, the river is famous for its cold water and tranquil setting. Its banks are lined with restaurants, picnic grounds and quiet corners where families and groups of friends can relax together.

In summer, when Alanya's beaches are at their busiest, many visitors come here for a fresher and calmer day out. Having breakfast or lunch right next to the water is one of the classic ways to enjoy the river.

Not far away you can also visit Dim Cave, another of the region's well-known natural sights.
